Printwize is one of south east England’s leading sheet-fed litho printers. Founded in 1971, we have established an enviable reputation for high quality printing at very competitive prices.

ENVIRONMENTAL STANDARDS

Printwize is now certified in accordance with the rules of the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC). The FSC promotes responsible forestry management all over the world and ensures that paper bearing the FSC logo comes from well managed sources to protect the environment. The Chain of Custody Certification enables Printwize to display the FSC logo on its own printed material; it also enables our customers to display the logo on material printed for them.

We are fully aware of our responsibility to protect the environment. All our production uses low chlorine biodegradable materials from paper mills which source timber from forests managed on principles of environmental sustainability. All our inks are vegetable based; fully biodegradable and our presses run low alcohol. This all adds up to having the minimum impact on the environment possible.

Chemicals – all waste collected for safe disposal or recycling

ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY

Our company operates an environmental management system to enable us to achieve key objectives.
Committed to the prevention of pollution, we comply with relevant legal requirements and codes of practice. We are also committed to continual improvement, with a specific focus on these key objectives:

Reducing solvent emissions
Reducing energy consumption and carbon dioxide emissions
Reducing volumes of waste sent to landfill.

To this end, we have established environmental targets and programmes, and work with customers and suppliers to achieve these objectives. Our staff are a vital part in ensuring that the environmental management system is successful and objectives achieved, therefore developing staff awareness and offer training to support this. The printing industry has been at the forefront of recycling for over 30 years.
